Renew Coalcliff - Join our Crowdfunding Campaign

THE ISSUE Wollongong City Council recently conducted a site inspection on our clubhouse building and have deemed it to be unsafe and requiring major refurbishment or outright replacement. Two weeks ago we were locked out of a portion of the building and it appears unlikely we will regain access soon. Losing this facility is a major blow for Coalcliff SLSC not only for nippers and lifesaving but also our role as a hub for the local community and events we support including the Stanwell Park Ocean Challenge, the Bombie Bar and Grand Illawarra Walk.

WHAT WE'RE PROPOSING TO DO We know how important our role as a community hub is, and as a club we are fighting to replace the clubhouse as soon as possible. To ensure we can achieve a good quality outcome in a reasonable timeframe, the club needs to engage an architect and town planner to put together a comprehensive site analysis and development proposal, and then to lobby the local council to expedite the rebuild. The funds raised through this campaign will enable us to get professional assistance with this process, and demonstrate the community's support for our efforts which are a critical factor in council's priority setting.

We hope you will be willing to join us!
